Default Full Bolt on's worth a Tune and Gear question?

Right now I have most of the Bolt ons and run 12.1 @ 114 I would like to crack the 11s before I do a Cam swap so the BIG question is a Tune worth it for 1/2 a summer before I do a Cam swap?

Gears I am doing a 9" here right away in the spring and was wondering if I went with a 4.30 gear and a 28 X 10.0 tire would this be too much tire for my car before the cam swap??? I choose the gears because I will be running a cam based on a T-Rex.

I am in Minnesota, just on the northern suburbs of the twin cities. I want a 4.30 gear so when the new cam is in I can get right in to the power zone, I don't think a 4.10 would be that good with a T-Rex?

Have you plugged all the variables into a gear calculator Dan? If not try these;

I'm not so sure you'll have enough of a safety margin at hitting 5th gear with that gear/tire combo. 4.10's should be good enough, but do the math and figure out where you'd top out at in fourth.

im crossing the traps at the top of 4th at 6300 w/ the 4.10s

you should be able to hit 11s.

but w/ the 4.30s i think your gonna have to shift into 5th and be at the bottom of the gear.
