Default Will it rub??

I have a set of Draglites with 28x10.5 ET Drags, 5.5 BS on the wheels and a set of springs off of a V6 car. Is anyone else running this type of setup? Do they rub? What shocks do you guys reccomend? Thanks

Is you rearend narrowed? If not I doubt you will be able to run that b.s. on a stock length rearend. I think the b.s. you would need on a stock length rearend would be 7-7.5".

Stock rear for now. I will have a 9" in a couple of months though. The wheels came of of my buddies car that had a moser 9". I am assuming that it was stock length?
I'm pretty sure the wheels will fit after I grind the calipers I was really wondering if they will rub when I launch.

With that backspacing the wheel is going to stick out further a few inches more than a 7-7.5"bs would which is going to cause your tire to rub bad.

Here is a pic of mine when it was on a stock length rearend with a 7" bs. Now picture it sticking out further about 2-2.5".

Here are some pics of my rear. I narrowed my rearend 2.5 inches on each side so I could run a wheel with a lot more bs. These are Weld Pro Stars 15x10 w/ 4.5 inch bs. I love the dished look.

The tires are MT Drag Radials 275/60/15.

Is that a 15x10? And what size tire is that?

And that is exactly what Im gonna do. Its not gonna work for you though Baked if you still wanna run those stock wheels after you do your rear end. Could you imagine your stock wheels shoved 3 inches further back on each side, would look kind of silly. **** on it. Ill just run big n lils all year long or possibly find some street wheels with a deep offset on the rear like a torque thrust d or something with street tires for regular driving. And baked, you might have beaten me on starting a thread about wheels and tires, but my transmission is already tore down

Not if neither of our cars get running again, lol. Make that money biatch. But seriously, I thought it was funny we are both on here searching the same issues. If I was going to stay stock width on the rear end Id just run 7.5 inch backspacing on a 15x10 or about 5 or 5.5 on a 15x8. Thats my conclusion on this mess. Of course since we are both in the middle of custom rear end projects the options are really limitless.
