NHRA Pro Stockers still running old spec cage
I watched the Pomona race tonight on ESPN2 and noticed that the Pro Stock cars for the most part(including winner Greg Anderson) are still using the old spec cages, they did not have the extra hoops around the drivers head that I thought were manditory this year. That is not the best example to set for safety on national TV.

I've heard of no changes to the cage of pro-stock cars, they've got a pretty extensive cage already I don't see where they would change much... Could be wrong though.

25.1 has less bars than 25.2 but both cert to 6.0. The weight of the 25.1 is limited to 2800 pounds while 25.2 is 3200 pounds. So the bar diameter, thickness and configuration of the bars is slightly different between the two. 25.5 Is restricted to 7.50 and you won't see that in a PS car.

I read the only thing they(drivers) were thinking about changing was adding a few bars to the roof and from the 4 link to the front of the trans tunnel .. from where Bruce Allen crashed they saw some things that would protect them better
