Default Strange brakes vs aerospace?

Im looking for getting rid of the heavy *** stock stuff and im interested in getting some brakes. Why are the front aerospace brakes so much cheaper than the strange brakes? Is there something im missing here, anything sombody has experience with these brakes that would lead me a away form buying the aerospace stuff. BTW this car is more track so im not worryed about whats better for street use i know they both say dragrace only.

Thanks,Mike

The Strange fronts are a bit higher on the quality scale. I have Aerospace brakes and they work fine. But the Strange setup is much nicer. Plus, their front brake comes with a replacement spindle and hub whereas the Aerospace uses the stock hub. That's mostly where the cost difference is.

The Strange Drag brakes are also lighter. With the Strange brakes front and rear along with the manual master cylinder will save you about 95 lbs or so of weight.

When you say aerospace uses the stock hub are you talking about the stock hub a bearing assy.By the picture ive seen it looked like there front hub was there own stuff unless it wasn't for a f body.

Strange vs Aerospace is a wash if not lighter on the Aerospace side for the rotors. The Aerospace setup uses the factory bearing / hub assembly and must bolts to the back side of the steering knuckle. No replacement bearing and spindle needed. Strange provides one so that you can switch from a 5 bolt hub to a spindle mount with the same setup.

Strange all the way. I run them. They have their own replacement aluminum hub which is a good bit lighter than the stock steel hub. It is not exactly a spindle mount setup. It comes with 1/2" studs, and uses a bolt up wheel. VERY high quality also.

I put front and rear Strange brakes on a couple months ago, I have a buddy that put the Aerospace brakes front/rear on his LT1 car about the same time and he come over to help me put mine on and he just kept saying how much nicer the strange were than his aerospace. For some reason I was thinking that the strange fronts were a little bit lighter than the aerospace due to the spindle setup. I really like my brakes and I also used the Billingsley lines to convert from the factory to the strange calipers.

Can you run a weld prostar/draglight wheel with out a spacer with the Aerospace brakes? I was thinking about getting the aerospace brakes, and it would be a added benifit to be able to ditch the spacer.

I've got the aerospace but i haven't driven on them yet so i don't have any comments on what they drive like... I have to say they look high quality though and are a TON lighter than stock stuff... i'd say it's still a wash for weight but yeah the strange are probably better quality....

But then again they are brakes..... anything that makes me SLOWER at the track i'm not looking to spend massive money on.. just as long as they work....

What mods are necessary to run Strange front and rear brakes?

I would assume the aren't "bolt on"

Actually yes, they are a bolt on for the most part. You just need to make small modification to your stock spindles. Takes 5 minutes.

They are pretty much a bolt on kit like said before, some grinding on your spindle, very easy, and you also will neet to get some new brake lines to covert from factory to the strange calipers, got mine from billingsley, but other sponsers carry them, alot depends on which rear you are running, I don't think you can put them on a c-clip 10 bolt, have to run c clip elimenators, works great on a 9".
