Default 60' Times

I have an A4 w/ a 3600 stall on MT Drag radials running @ around 15 psi. Before I lauch I hold the rpm's @ around 1800 and then go, but I still get no traction. So far my best 60' time is a 1.8. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I need more suspension upgrades to be in the 1.6/1.5 range? Thanks

What suspension upgrades do you already have?

As of yet nothing that is why I'm asking about the suspension. I have QA1's for the front and rears, LCA's, PHR and new draglites sitting @ the house waiting for install. How much will these help?

put about 19 or 20 psi in the radials.... these tires were meant to run on high PSI

i cut 1.53 60' on the 16'' radials with 19.5 psi

Exactly, With about 550rwhp I cut 1.48 60's and was running 22 psi in the tires.

Wll I guess it's on to upgrading my suspension. I suppose I should be happy w/ 1/8 my times. 7.8 @ 91 w/ a 1.9 60'. I just would like to get that down to 1.6 or 1.5. Thanks for the inputs.

before you do that try upping the psi.... and if it still dont hook... which it should/will then grab a torqe arm, SFC's, rear sway bar, and lca's..

Mickey Thompson has a great site for air pressure with different styles of tires.

Get this stuff installed and you will drop your 60fts for sure.

Well I took off the front swaybar and ran @ 21psi and cut a 1.6 these weekend . Which is not bad for still having the stock suspension. Hopefully when I finish all my suspension stuff I can see some 1.5's?

Whats wrong with slicks? Stock suspension cars will lift the front end all day long with a cheap set of them. It's cheaper and more effective than buying lots of heavy suspension parts. It's your money though...

Slicks plus new rims = $. I already have the suspension upgrades. Plus I'm not really trying to explode my 10 bolt right now. Also, eventually to run really well you're gonna need to upgrade your suspension, or when you're making more power it's not gonna get to the ground. Fianlly look around there are folks pulling 1.4 60' time on this site using DR's.

I have a 4000, try running it up about 500 before the stall point an roll out on the line a car before going WOT. I pulled a 1.47 N/A on a set of BFG's with this method. Suspension was Q1A's all around no front sway,LCA, SFC, tunnel brace style torque arm. On 12psi cold tire temp.
