I have a stock length Moser 12 Bolt... I want to narrow it 2" on each side... Would you guys walk me through the steps I need to take to get it done...

-I know I will need new axles right? Just order them from Moser?
-Then can I just take the housing to a reputable welder/fabricator and have him take 2" off of each side?

You'll need to take the housing to someone who has the right tool for narrowing a rear. It's a special bar/jig used to make sure the ends get welded on perfectly straight.

You should be able to send the axles back to Moser and have them shortened and re-splined.

send it to moser. for around 200 they narrow the axles AND the housing

IMO unless its done locally and decently cheap its not worth it. just sell the rear and buy what you want.

I would spend $600 shipping it to them to have that done... not very practical...
