Launch harder. That will fix the bog. Or tune the suspension to get about 1/2 revolution on the tire at launch.

Add some air to the tires or stiffen the front and rear shocks. You want to take some bite out to get it to spin just a bit. Or, launch it at a higher rpm where it doesn't bog.

My car always launched great, then fell on its face.
But that was because of the silly 2.73 gears.
However that problem is fixed now.

I used to put it on the 6600rpm revlimiter. this year i'll prolly setup the 2 step at around 6400-6700rpm

Try sliping the clutch. If you come off the clutch too hard you bog down the motor, however if you slip the clutch, it keeps the rpm up in the powerband and allows the motor to pull the car out of the hole harder.

Last time at the track I noticed the diference myself. If I would dump the clutch the car would leave hard and the fall flat on its face, but if I sliped the clutch I would lift the front about 12" off the ground and cary it about 20-30 feet.

Try sliping the clutch a bit more. Imagine you are pulling away from a light, just at 6500rpm LOL

Good Luck!

Same problem I had last year... it would hook good, then fall flat on it's face. I think it was the stock shocks allowing the front of the car to come back down that was doing it, car would pick the nose up great, get the tires so they were just leaving then bllaaaaah bog, then go again. most annoying **** I have ever seen.. looks like the damn car was gonna stall it was so bad... drove me NUTS! I tried more air in the tires, as that was about the only thing I had to adjust last year. and going from 12 psi to 13 was enough to make the car blow the tires off.. I ws running a 26 x 11.5x15 e.t. street, cam only, 4.10's M6, raceweight was real heavy too though, about 3700 or so... so that I'm sure had alot to do with it. I was launching almot at the limiter too. It was annoying enough so that I made the decision to go th400 this year.. no more worrying about breaking ****, no more bog and go, no more worrying about a missed shift. I figure that last year if I could have got the car to 60 foot better then 1.71 which was my best, it should have run alot quicker then the 12.2 to 12.5 @ 112 to 114 that seemingly loved to pop up on the board last year. I'm hoping that with the th400, 4500 stall, the addition of a good set of ported ls6 heads, a set of hal 12 way rear and R series fronts, and as much weight as I can find to remove, that I should be able to blast a second or more off last year's best no problem. Had I not made the th400 swap, I was still going to do the shocks, and probably go to at least 4.30 rear gears, maybe even 4.56 to get the pig moving, and the heads too.. more power can only help the bog and go situation.
