Default Any reviews on the new Hoosier drag radials?

Saw them at Etown yesterday..
They look like a slick, but with two straight deep tread lines....

I used to have them on my '04 Cobra. They hook like a mother for sure! I cut consistent 1.58-1.59 60' times on them with my old set-up. Those were in 335/35/17 on 10.5" AFS Replica wheels. I don't use them anymore as I use slicks for the track now but if you want to use a good, hard-hooking, reliable drag radial for track and street use, then try them out. You won't be disappointed man. Take it easy.

I have a brand new pair ready to go on my 17" SS rims (275/45-17), once the weather clears, I'll post up more details.

anyone know how they are on the highway? I drive with M/T Drag Radials everywhere and have no problems but I was thinking about switching to these.

Anyone know the tread life? M/T DRs last about 5-7k miles.

well, seeing as how the ET RADIALS are the quickest/fastest drag radials in the world i would say that the hoosiers have a lot to live up to....

Yes, but I am wondering how well they hold up to street driving.

the et streets and et radials both do very well on the street in dry conditions from personal experience, i can't imagine why these would be any different.

ET Streets have a lot of sway at highway speeds so thats a little much for me, I am just trying to figure out if these are the same way.

I contacted Goodyear and they said they don't know a release date yet.

I'm still waiting for real world info on the M&H Racemaster Radial! Nobody is running them, and if they are they aren't talking. They've been out for 2 years.

The Hoosiers do look like they should hook well, l'll probably try a set of the M&H's and when Hoosier or Mickey come out with a 28" tall tire for the 16" I'll try a set of those too.

The reason you dont see much info. on the m&h tire is that most drag radial rules limit you to a 12" wide dot tire the 390/45/15 is 12.1" and they dont make any other size that will be good enough to run 7's on. Just from what i've seen of the goodyear in Bradenton and talking to the rep. they should kick *** for an all out race set up,although the M/T is good enough to flip your car over with at any time. We'll see in a couple weeks
