Default shock setting starting point

O.k, I just picked up some 12 way rear and r series fromt shocks for my transam. Car's a h/c setup with a Th400, made about 450 rwhp before the th400 goes in, so probably 375 to 400 rwhp now, 4500 converter, 4.10's and I will be running either 275/60/15 e.t. radials or a 27 x 11.5 hoosier qtp this year. Car's still a little on the heavy side, but I plan to work on that alot this year, removing and replacing as much as I can for weight reduction tha I can find/afford this year. I have a spohn solid rear swaybar, bmr chromoly tq arm mounted on the th400 conversion crossmember with tq arm mounting provisions on it that bmr sells.... Question is what should I start the shocks off at for a fair track conditions? The chassis weight and all will be set at the shop, and I know that they will give me a starting point for settings to run, just curious as to what guys with the 12 way rears and r series fronts at a similar power level are using for starting settings? are you leaving off a transbrake? I want to if the car will hook... any feedback would be appreciated.

3 to 6 in the front and 4 to 6 in the rear.
The tighter you can run the shock and still hook, the faster you will go.
