Default Launching an m6 on nitto 55rs?

Went to MIR today. Just trying to get a ballpark figure of what I should be launching at on these with about 16psi in them. I ran them today but was very inconsistant. I launched from 2000 to 4000 and the best 60' I pulled was a 2.02. Any insight would be great.

My best run
60 2.014
8th 8.43
mph 85.33
1/4 12.98
mph 108.5

if it is 16 inch Nittos then 16 is a good psi. I find that my 315x35x17's like 18 psi but vary's a little at different tracks.
Start off by doing a good burn out untill you see good smoke( dont have to be like john force but a good bit of smoke) and then let off the brake while still spinning at half throttle or so rolling forward untill you feel the tires byte. WHen it jumps forward then the tires are ready, do not do dry hops after burnout. Pull to the line and bring revs up to 3500 to start and work your way up as you get better at doing this.
I can leave around 4000 by bringing revs up and dump clutch but do not he the gas down untill the car jumps forward. When the car jumps forward and just starts to bog you can start giving it the gas.
I mash my gas peddle as soon as I hear the car start to bog and usually dont break the tires loose again as a Nitto does not like to be shocked. They grab great once they are hooked but the trick is not to shock it at the launch.
I have pulled 1.67-1.72's on the 16 inch Nittos and 1.64 to 1.72's On the 315's.

Well Im supposed to go to MIR saturday to re-race an evo that I lost to eariler last year, and Im thinking the only reason I lost to him then was be cause of a shitty launch on fuzion tires. So I will see how that goes this weekend...weather providing. So thanks for the input, I will try to put it to good use.

I launch at 2500rpm on my nitto 555rs and cut 1.8 60fts (trying to save the 10bolt) all day. I set my tires to 18psi I have 275/40/17s, I also do a pretty big burn out to get them good and heated.

I call it a controled dump, I release the clutch fast but don't totally dump it. It is a little easier on the rear

I have yet to get a decent launch on the Nitto's. Best 60' is like a 1.98. I run 20 psi and launch at 3K. I am still on a stock clutch so i have to lauch it easy. I think with practice you can improve. I seem to get wheel spin or bogg down. I just can't seem to find the sweet spot.

Good luck. With a little practice I think you should be able to get 1.70's.

Well I went on saturday and with about 15 psi I launched at about 3500 (slipping the clutch) and was able to get down to a 1.95. I only did 3 passes so I didnt really stray too far off of what was working because I was actually trying to beat someone. Next time I go I will experiment further to see if I can get it to come down some more.

i also have 275/40/r17's on my ws6. the thing ive been experimentin with is control of the gas while your quicky slipping out the clutch. shuold you just floor it while your quickly letting off the clutch? .. or like a conrtolled stomp whereas your releasing the clutch at the same rate your pressing the gas. heh theres a true art to the ''perfect launch'' ... from what ive been reading i think ill make my rear tires about 18-19psi

lets hear all of your advice on this ...

I 60ft 2.0s all day long with steet tires, dipped into the 1.9s more than once. I just mounted up the Nittos and am going to the track in the next few weeks.....hoping for some 1.8s.
