Default Help for the track newb

Well our local strip is re opening, after a 4 year absence, on April 1st, so I'm going to take my T/A to the track for the first time, and have some questions.
Will I need a helmet, or a driveshaft loop
What about launching what RPM should I use (m6 with stock 3.42 gears and 10 bolt) and should I just dump the clutch, or just let it up quickly, I have new tires, Falken GR beta 451s 275/40/17s
I've been to the track and watched, so I know about going around the water box, and to just do a light burnout to clean off the tread
Any other tips would be appreciated
One more question, what do you think I'll run with the mods in my sig?
TIA

A helmet is always a good idea.

You wont need a driveshaft loop.

Start ou the launch around 1500 rpms and dump the clutch.

What type of track, 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile?

Most important thing is to have fun.

Good luck.

wouldnt that either bog the hell outta the motor or just staul it? i hate to question your integrity, but it just seems far fetched

When my car was a 6 speed and mostly stock, I dropped the hammer at 1500 rpms with pretty good results.
