Who here races at HRP in Baytown?
While I consider myself a good driver, I have never run turbos down the track so I am looking for a little advice.
Since I am running turbos I do expect some decent numbers so my questions are:
Should I practice a few lauches and shut down at 1/2 track to get my 60 and 1/8 times? Then when I feel comfortable with the new setup, go ahead and do a ***** to the wall run? I'm just worried about getting kicked off the track since I do not have a cage and harness, especially if I flake it and run a measly 10.90 when I know my times will be much better with the right run. How strict are they and who busts you for not having a cage? The old lady in the time booth? I do plan on getting one but I just finshed my installs and want to get some track times. Thanks for any help.

I would go and learn the car. Start out with launching the car and work your way up. The lady in the booth or the starter will say something about your times if you go to fast. You really need to go ahead and get the right safety stuff on the car before you even try to run the car.
