Default Bias ply rear, radial front... how bad?

Like the topic says, how bad is a slick rear and radial front really? 130+ car experience only, please. I hate to have to buy another set of wheels, but if it means keeping me out of a wall I will. The car is an rx-7 that is actually on more of a roadrace suspension. Tire will be ~27x10.5.

A second question... how much am I giving up if I go for the ET street instead of the ET drag?

It's not that bad around town and stuff. But up around 130+ it is SCARY!!! If the road surface is not 100% flat it's scary as hell.

go with a Hoosier QTP. I had ET Streets and couldn't ever get it to till you had the PSI down so low it was scary up top

Hmmm, i've never noticed any issues, i'm running 165r15 radials up front and run ET Drags out back at the strip and no issues.

How about a large BFG in the rear? My buddy has those on his 94 single turbo and they HOOK!!!! They also look very good on the stock rims and are a radial like the front. Remember, the stock RX7 rims are light from the factory

I am on as large of a mickey thompson radial as I can get in there and I am no where even near hooking, so a BFG is definitely out of the question.

I wouldn't advise ANY radial front runner for your car...especially running those speeds. Run an ET drag runner...you'll be dropping ~14 lbs of rotational mass.

Ive been a tire tecnician for discount tire and been racing for years now. Ive raced with Bias ply in the rear and radial in the front its very scary all the way down the track. Just got the new mickey drag radials, they are the ultimate solution. im cutting 1.7 60' times and have the stock torque arm lol. Very Very sticky and no bull ****. hopefully my opinion helps. later.
