Arrow people with m/t drag radials come in!

i just got my mt drag radials 275/40 17 . how much warming up do the need? do they need to have smoke coming out of the wheel wells before they hook or what has everyone had luck with ?

Well with my 255/65/16s i would warm them up till i saw a little smoke coming out of both sides. It also depends on your track prep too.

Try starting with a 4 or 5 second burnout. I've got 255/50-16's and that's what works for me. This is from the M/T website....

BURNOUTS- FOR MOST APPLICATIONS
1. First pass of the day hard burnout. After that follow general guidelines of #2 and #3 stated below.

2. Automatic transmissions and Softer compounds: First pass or two, fairly hard burnout, after that a light burnout should be sufficient.

3. Standard transmission "Stockers": No burnout or short, dry burnout. Super Stock and Comp cars- light burnout, haze tires and stage immediately.

Wait until you see smoke coming from the wells and drive the burnout up till your close to the line. Dont go crazy with the smoke and have fun.
