Default Pulled carpet now brake lights won't turn off

I pulled my carpet out and now my brake lights won't turn off. Is there a sensor that I might have hit or something when I pulled it out? Any tips would be great, I've already gotten pulled over for riding my brakes to much

At least the cop complemented me on how much he liked my car though!

Could you have put a little tension on the brake pedal cable? And now its stuck in place? I know our cars it doesnt take much to make the lights come on.

Didn't know there was one. I'll check it tomorrow. What should I be looking for? Is it going to be pushed down, broken or what?

There is one switch on the brake pedal arm, and the Parking brake has a switch at its base. The P Brake has a small copper insert for the contacts that can pop out easily, causing the light, as well, if its popped the handle up one notch. The pedal arm should have a switch that is mounted to the dash with the plunger facing out to the pedal arm, or vice versa.

I think you're talking about the actual "BRAKE" idiot light on the dash there. (At least with the parking brake thing) His brake lights are on all the time.

Its gotta be the brake pedal switch.
