Default Launch RPM

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what is the best RPM/way to launch a bolt-on M6 00' T/A with street tires making around 360rwhp.

Usually I get it up to about 1800 and baby it off the line with a touch of wheel sping but it seems like its bogging until it gets up to 3500rpm. If I launch it at 2500-3000 I just sit there and spin....I need advice...HELP!

Note: I dont have the budget for a 12 bolt right now so DR's are out of the equation. I have 315/35/17 sumitomo's with 17x11 ZR1's.

I am going to the track in the next couple months and I want to hit high 12's and I know I can do it if I launch the car correctly.

You have to ride the clutch out around 3000 rpm.

If you know what you're doing DR's won't break the 10 bolt. If you know what you're doing.

Are you heating them up good enough? A 315 should net you decent 60' times on well prepped track and good clutch work. A 245 nitto on another set of tires would really help and save your rear.

can you be more specific? not to be stupid or an ******* cause Im not either.

I just get her up to 3k and then ease the clutch until I am ready to just let it out all the way and the car will jump fast without a lot of spin?

A 245 Nitto will hook better being a DR then a non DR 315 tire. Since the nitto is only 245 you will spin before you break. Most cases. What gear are you running?

Buy a cheap set of 16" stock wheels and a pair of 245 nittos. With the 3.42s you will be fine.

I ran 315/35 R17 Nitto 555R's with my stock 10 bolt. It held up fine and cut 1.8X sixty foots. I had heads and cam too!

I think a lot of people break their 10 bolt because they can't drive and beat the **** out of the car every day. I always got the impression that if you launch it well and have some power it's toast. Lately I have been reneging on those feelings.
