tire pressure ? QTPs
I just purchased a set of bogarts w/27x11.5 QTPs
and was wondering if anyone can give me a good starting tire pressure?
I have cut 1.53s on BFG DRs on my stock 16" wheels at around 17psi
and did not know if that is going to be a good starting point for these.
also what is the lowest pressure you can run on these without a tube?
thanks for any info

I run mine at 22 PSI but I'm a SI low power A4 car so even at that pressure I can't spin them. I have cut a 1.57 60' time though. I'd try them higher at first and go down if they don't hook. The sway on the big end is nasty if you've got them down too low. I stopped at 22 PSI becuase they hooked there. No need for unnecessary sway out the end. I started out at 28 and worked my way down from there. I can't imagine you could hook at that high a starting pressure though.

well,
I ran them at 14/15 psi and they seemed to hook well???
only turned a 1.58 for a best 60.
I had a friend take some pics and the tires wrinkled well, left tire lifted around 4"
so my guess is the tire is spinning on the wheel, and I am not going to drill my bogarts
well here is a pic it is the 1.59

Did you try them at a higher pressure to see if they'd still hook? Just curious. Typically, the higher the pressure the more MPH you can run because of the decreased rolling resistance. I guess I'm just getting away with running much more pressure in mine than is typical. BTW, I only wish I could lift a tire like that. I need to get some weight off the front end of my car.
