Default who is running a 27'' slick at the track?

i have a 01 ws6 and was thinking of a 27'' tire. will there be any problems clearing the fenders? did you do any modding of the rear fenders? i'm looking at the m&h racemaster 10 1/4 wide 27'' tall 15'' rim.
thanks, mike c.

How bad did it hurt your 60 foot? my problem is i got a m6 and with the 26'' tire it spins so fast in 1st gear i keep hitting the revlimiter. my light is set at 6,100 and my rev is at 7,100 and i can't keep up. so i thought the 27'' tire will help that out.

i have a 4.11 gear m6,i will keep the gear just go taller tire. on the 26'' tire i'm 1.51 to 1.54 60 foots. will the 27'' hurt my 60 foot? more sidewall should help me hook better, right? i'm looking at a taller tire to help with my revlimiter hitting problem in 1st.

With your combo you'd really benefit from a 4.56 gear 28" tire combo.

I've run my 27" Hoosier QTP's on both my '94 and '02 with no clearance issues.

i run a 27 x 11.5 hoosier QTP and the rear is lowered 1.5" and have no problems. Just make sure you have the proper backspacing on your wheels and you won't have a problem. I have a M6 with 4.11's and love the way they leave.

i think its funny to see people thinking a bigger slick will hurt 60' times on a big geared ls1 t56 - ESPECIALLY a 10 second car.
