Default so is my rearend going to blow?

i have a 2000 SS m6

mti lid, slp y and slp loudmouth exhaust
fast toys ram air kit

im thinking of running slicks at the track...am i pretty much screwed if i run slicks or should i be ok....

ive run bfg drag radials and only get 2.0 60 foot times and run a 13.0 @108mph

im thinking with slicks i should be in the 12's but im worried about my stock rear.

any advice or tips?

I ran 275/35/zr 18's with bfg drag radials at the track and got a 2.0 second 60' when i was a little below 300 whp...I slipped the clutch a little bit more than usual to keep the rear end together, but it eventually broke when I went with street tires and added the blower...If you need some assurance, a stronger set of after market gears and a T/A girdle will help prolong its life. If youve got some money saved and dont care about the rear end, give it a try!!

Your really rolling the dice with a M6, most dont make it when you jump to sticky tires.. If you had a A4, you can get away with alot more.. Id go with it and just start saving for a 9" or 12 bolt...

im just borrowing the slicks so this is a one time at the track kinda thing. im just trying to decide if its worth breaking everything just to beat a few friends and get my 12 second time slip.

You *should* be ok as long as you slip the clutch out of the whole a little more than usual. You never know though....those 10 bolts can be unpredictable.

You should ve able to cut a sub 2.0 on the BFG's. Ride the clutch out at 3500 and get your 12 on street tires.
