Question Which Angle For Madman's Torque arm?

I have a 95 trans am with a carbed 434ci iron block motor that produces 650 to the flywheel. And i just recieved the Madman torque arm and I need to know which angle for the torque arm itself, which moves the instant center, would be best to make my car pull the wheels a good bit. I have not ran the car yet, still finishing it up but it does have a 12 bolt with spool, 4.56 gears, powerglide transmission but will be footbraking for the time. And has all qa1 shocks, subframe connectors, relocation brackets and weight moved to the back...I will appreciate any advice

What kind of tire? I started at 2* and messed with it from there.

Why does everyone want to pull the wheels? You waste so much time and momentum doing that, when you could be going down the track.

I want to do it for pics and to put on a show. Later on I will lower the bar to keep it down but for now I just want to play. Mongoose did it unload up track at Positive 2?

I've got mine set in the lowest hole to try and keep the car down, I could only imagine what would happen if it wasn't, i'd most probably be on the bumper!

i have found in the past that if it pulls the fronts up about 2 feet and carry them i hook. i it don't it does not put enough down force on the tires and i spin....my best 60 was 1.28. picked them up about2 foot off the deck and carried them for about 40 feet.and mine is at 2.5 down and on the bottom hole.

Before I took the spring isolators out, they were in the middle hole, which was like 2 - 3 degrees down from body to rear, after takin the isolators out I moved it down to the bottom hole, haven't measured them though, so not sure the angle, i'll check later and let you know.

I appreciate your help Loudmouth. Do u think 0 degrees on the t/a will be to much angle, as fast as your car is running u probably have more hp then mine does.

What you really need to do is just play with the diff settings and see what works best for you. Cuz like I know my car on motor with the way everything is set and having 3.73's a tight nitrous verter and 28's comes out like a pig! I'm sure if I moved the t/a up, I could get it to come out better on motor than it is, but everything's workin good on the spray, so i'm not changing ****! I would start at the middle hole and set the pinion angle at -2 and test it and take it from there. If it needs to come out harder, start moving it up and readjust pinion angle back to -2 each time you move the front mount, if you need it to come out softer, move it down, just play with it till you find the sweet spot.

Yeah, -2. I just call it 2 since running posititve PA would be bad for me.

When i first set the suspension up, I believe Brian told me to put the forward mount in the bottom hole and the bottom rear in the lowest mount. After that, you have to mess with the rear rod ends to make everything line up. Once that's done, you can dial it back to set PA. The first time was easy since I had it on a lift. The other times were done on a set of jackstands.
