Enough for 9's NA??
I really dont follow this site to well...I figured I would post up pictures of my ride...I got the car 7 months ago off of here....I got the white Convertible Agistion Racing WS6....I love the car....I decided to go with an oldschool 4 bolt main 383ci motor...has a built bottom end with 12.1 compression, large solid roller (.660+ on a 106lsa) RHS heads that flow 300cfm's, good intake, full drag suspension, 9in with spool w/4.56's, TH400 by CKperformance, 5700 converter, I dynoed 638FWHP on the engine dyno...I know with the 4.56's I will have to turn the **** out of it....The car made peak power at 8300rpm....Do yall think its enough to go 9's on motor with a 3350lbs car?? The suspension is dead set, the car will hook. I am not worried about that or the track prep....the track is pretty good were we go....Do yall think its enough to go 9.9's on motor?? I have a NX stage 6 plate to go on. On motor I was thinking more around 10.3's NA hopefully around 130mph....I would love to see it run 9's NA...I have a fiberglass hood on order..thats 45lbs off the nose, so were hoping to get right at 3300lbs rollin to the line....let me know if yall think its possible.......thanks

If it helps I had an old car that made 613 flywheel and ran 9.85 at 137 with a stickshift. I'd say if it was an automatic it would have ran 10.20's or 10.30's it weighed 3385. I'm making about 740ish flywheel now and running 9.70's at 141 in a 3451 pd stick car. Hope that gives you an idea. It really just depends on how good the car works 638 is alot of power take her and see good luck.

OK, we're going a ways back here, but...
My old '98 went 9.99 @ 133mph with approximately 470rwhp at a raceweight of about 3150lbs... I don't see why your setup wouldn't be able to do the same...

yes, I have Daren's old car....He sold it to a guy on here with no motor in it. I got it form him.....They did a great job on this car!!
With the converter and gears that are in the car now, we all think it going 9's NA.....but, if and only if, she hooks as good a Daren said it would...lol...I belive he went some 1.33's on nitrous.....I have changed converters, gears, and have a little more TQ than he does....We shall see in a few short weeks!! I will keep everybody posted!!

Sounds like its got enough power to go 9's but if it already has a WS6 hood on it then that is already glass so I dont think you are gonna cut much weight with a diff hood.....definately not 45lbs
