just wondering on what your opinions are. madman got any? any of the other hardcore guys?
i know radials overall have less resistence but when the radial is 13" wide, it might change the story.
talking 325/50/15 m/t radial and 28x10.5 et drag
how about stiff sidewall slicks?

John,
My 275/60/15 ET Street Radials have less rolling resistance than my 28 x 10 x 15 ET Drags. Granted there's a little less contact patch between the 2, but mph is about 1 higher with the radials, and they 60 foot better too

Those things are HEAVY!
So if you can hook you will go faster on a drag radial?

i believe that if you can hook the same on the radials you WILL go faster and quicker on the radials.
i was just wondering b/c the 325 radials are hooking SO well for most guys. the weight is a negative BUT in the end all i care about is the ET and MPH. they might be heavier but they work better (if you are hooking the same).
interesting.

I'm starting to wish I'd got the radials instead of the ET drags. The drags look like they will have a lot of resistance. But I did get the stiff side walls.
Will the radial not swell up as big as the drag tire?

Another question. If you run a 26 10 15 et drag on a 10" wheel (which is what I run) can you put a 275/50/15 MT drag radial on a 10" wheel. I do know from reading that they say a 9" wheel is the biggest diameter wheel you can go with I believe. I am asking this because If i went to a 325/50/15 in a drag wouldnt that slow my car down? The car is na only with no power adders.

Radials don't grow and will always run a better # due to rolling resistance than a same size slick.
Wolfe has been 197 mph I believe in actual competition.
You can run a 275/50/15 on a 10" rim. It's a wider tire than the 275/60/15 and plenty of people run those on a 10" rim, help spread the footprint a little more.
