Default Will this car ever go down the 1320?

Honestly, does this car have a chance, or should the owner know when to cut his loses and just part it out, or possible push it out into the driveway and burn it to collect insurance money?

I would like to state that this is not my car, although it lives in my garage, my car is the one next to it with the cover on it. The owner of the car, which happens to be my extremely misguided brother thinks it has a chance, and will not stop pouring money into something that can not be saved.

I'd say pull the engine and set it aside, part out what he can, and light up the rest. Or save anything worth saving off it, and maybe look for a cheap rolling chassis to build up. But that's me.

EDIT: Then again, out of respect for your bro, if he wants to try and fix it - more power to him.

I definately agree with the saving the motor, setting that up, and putting it in a roller for a couple grand. Working on it got the car this far, do you really thinking fixing it will help out anymore. Also that is a firebird hatch bondoed onto a 95 convertable camaro. Just nothing but bondo, no bolts, welds, anything.

i think he just needs some help getting himself ontrack... looks like he's got to many things happening at once and nothing getting done overall tell him to step back, make a list and do things in some type of order, then it can be saved

Good idea. I agree. With a little order, it could happen.

That should definately be addressed IMO. Then again, bondo can be quite strong if done right, but I wouldn't trust it alone - add a couple bolts or rivets at least.
Good luck to you and your brother, tell him to keep his chin up.

get rid of that front bumper cover and hood--start there. If that hood and bumper cover weren't so bad it might look half decent without a foot of dust on it

Completely agree... get organized and tackle one project at a time... my personally i went with chassis/safety while someone else worked the motor buildup.... went from tough times to the almost completed project.... he can save that thing but he's gotta stop "ghetto riggin" stuff and put money into quality stuff...

The body needs to be saved first and foremost so I'd tell him to attack that, and if he is going to do a cage to do that next and have all of the paint work done at that time. At least then he has a painted roller with cage and ready to rock.

Tell your buddy to give me $3500 and the car. I will hook him up with a high qaulity paint job. That would make it look a hell of a lot better for starters.

Idea of that is cool. But in person it looks like ****.

That car could still make a pass. But some hard work is needed.

oh god.... I think he needs to start over with something else. Pull the motor and trans, get a roller, and ditch that car. Bondo is holding the hatch on? that should be safe in a crash...

Please try and talk some sense into your brother, mabey help him find something else. I mean I give him a A for effort..
