Does offset matter for drag tires?

Does offset matter for drag tires?
I have some 16X8's off a third gen (I guess?) that I was thinking about mounting some dr's on instead of finding/buying some salad shooters. The offset is different and it's gonna make the tires stock out a little more and look kinda redneck in the process
Is this dangerous in any way if I drag with these rims? Put more stress on the 10 bolt maybe?

Are you asking if it will hurt your 60' and safety??? Or are you asking if they fit.
Obviously my car is totally a different animal 16 X 16, but I've seen big, equal, and small back space and they all work fine in my type of car. I prefer the smallest possible, shorter, lighter, stronger axles. Easier to rotate tires also. I was told by a great chassis guy, that he has seen no difference in the housings breaking, twisting ect. when they come back for work. Only my opinion, but if they don't rub, and you can live with the ghetto look, they should be safe. I see old timers with slicks sticking way out all the time. Good luck, be safe.
