Default Which springs for my drag car?

98 z a4

I have removed some weight from the car and the rear sits up too high now. I have qa1s 275lbs springs with shocks in the front that are adjustable. what springs only to get my rear back down?

I've been looking into this too, and really haven't found much. I think wolf sells an adjustable spring perch or something, but I haven't actually found a set of rear drag springs.

I removed the isolator and cut 1 coil from the stock rear springs.

when you cut the coil off them, did you heat the springs so you could get them back flat on the last coil? I had a car come in before with cut springs in the rear and the springs werent seating very well due to them not having a flat coil on the top anymore

I did grind a flat on top of the spring. I also used a thin piece of rubber so there was no metal to metal contact.

We cut them flat with a long blade on a saw zall, clamp it down, and cut on an angle. We've done it 3-4 times, no problems. All on old chevys, I have no knowledge about new cars, sorry.

Doesn't cutting the spring change the spring rate?
I was considering removing the isolator and wrapping the top coil w/ some rubbre hose or something but didn't think it would be worth the effort.

I removed the stock isolator, cut a coil out and lined the top with some heater hose. Dropped the car about 2-2.5 inches I'm guessing and seemed to work well. With the stock cut springs and my Hals set on level 10 in the rear, I could still cut 1.3x sixties on slicks and 1.6x's on 17" drag radials. The car has virtually zero squat.
