Default The Trex got its first road trip

for all you people that dont think you can drive aggresive cams comfortably. i went from mississippi to baton rouge yesterday, about 300miles round trip with running around in town. car never had 1 problem. have ice cold a/c, power steering, 4.56 gears stage 4 clutch, full drag suspension, 28" nittos. cruised about 78mph both ways, did friday night stop and go traffic and drove it around all night and home today all on 1 tank of gas, its so freakin fun to have a street toy again that i can just throw some slicks on and still run mid 10's, ill check mpg when i get the speedo recalibrated, its about 8mph off right now, but i had to average over 20mpg, even with city playing, im happy

Awesome.. I know I drove my f15 back and forth from atlanta to futral 3-4 times chasing down a minor issue I was having.. didn't have any problems cruising it.. True duals, 4.30's, etc. Pinion nut was lose one trip and had to have a quick rearend rebuild at Futral.. sucked badly. But it was after at least 4 trips that I finally had a prob.. and had that nut been tightened properly never woulda had the prob (previous owner installed the rear.. *grumble*)

peace,
Josh

Probably guys that either have something back home in the garage themselves, or are just into the hobby.

Nice to hear! I get the same BS in the Nova, but it's fun to prove the idiots wrong that think it's just a track beater...

How are you liking your pro shifted tranny on the street?

I am possibly looking into turning my car back into a street/strip car (I work way too many weekends to hit the tracks anymore) and will be sending a T56 off to liberty soon.

I have been driving mine for a year now. I drive it 3 hrs each way to the track and back. I also went home for Christmas last year from here in TN to Hattiesburg, MS which was 10 hrs there and back. Now granted my car isn't as track sepecific as yours, but I drove those trips on Prostars and do so everyday.

M6's are the shiznit! I just recently did a 300mile round trip too, but instead of 28" nittos I had to deal with 26" street tires with my 4.56s and still managed 21mpg
