Default E-Brake removal with a 12 Bolt???

I wanted to know if you have to remove the bearing from the axle in order to remove the E-brake. I was looking at it when I put new wheel studs in and it looks like this is the only way to do it. I have a 12 bolt with a spool if this makes a difference. Thanks in advance, Jordan.

Default

98+ ebrake ***'y (brake shoes) are behind/in the rear rotors. By pulling off the rotor, you should be able to swap put any part you need to swap.

93-97 years have the ebrake ***'y attached to the caliper.

I don't see in either case, why you would have to pull the axles out.
