Default 28" tall tires what gears to use?

I was thinking about running 3:90's or 4:10's but the car has a 200 shot on it. What would the 28 tall tire do to the gear ratio? I don't want to run out of gear before the 1/4 mile.

What's your shift and trap RPM? Where is te rev limiter? Where does the HP peak at? All of this is important in picking tire size.

The rev was at 6800rpm and it was a 6-speed but now its a Th-400. All new setup will have a new motor in the car before its running too 500-550 HP LS2.

With over 700hp a 28in tall tire & a 3.50 or 3.70 gear should be plenty...

Go to www.wallaceracing.com and click on the calculators link at the bottom left of the page. you should be able to fugure out want gear will work, Keep in mind that you will need to account for tire growth and converter slippage to get a real number.
