only 1.897 on MT cheeter slicks
mods in my sig but i DID NOT have the SUB FRAMES or LOWER CONTROL ARMS or the THROTTLE BODY
the mt et streets on stock wheels. the bias ply not the dr.
did my burn out
rev up to 4000
droped the clutch and it hooked and went, no spining or bogging.
but that only gave me a 1.897
then on another run it was another 4k dump i think it was more like 4200-4300 and i got a 1.922.
now with some cooler air and thoes sfc and lca and the tb, with the same rpm launch would i get a better 60ft? or do i need to launch it at a higher rpm or not dump the clutch?
btw it ran a best of 13.035 @ 105.59 on that 1.897 60ft
then a 13.150 @106.32 on a 1.922 60ft

You may not, just a couple revolutions right at launch can kill your 60 foot times. Try launching at a slightly lower RPM and see if your 60 foot times don't improve. If they get better at a lower launch RPM then your clutch is definately slipping.

Are you bogging the car? Is it spinning? When I ran my car on motor(which is rare), I was on 17" Mickey Thompson drag radials. I was launching at 5000 and 5500 and the car was bogging. Best 60' on motor is a 1.87. I have yet to run the car on motor on the slicks. I am looking for 1.6's or 1.7's.

Looks like your car is down on power. Either the weather was bad or something is wrong.
For comparion, when my car just had a cutout and 245 nittos, it ran 12.90 at 108. Didnt even have a lid and with a 260lb driver. You should be in the 12's. Has it been tuned since the headers? The a/f might way off.

im am in the same boat...i actually posted my case in this forum...
i launched at 2k and i have a **** 60 foot...one reason is cause my nittos didnt hook at all (though no one was) and i am pretty sure that my clutch was slipping...it had to be, my car should be in the 12's dammit...i was hoping for a 12.9 or better..
I am interested in results as well...

LS7 clutch I have seen them glaze and slip all over. Ask MSG Huff about his, and severla others. Great clutch for HPDE but not so good for drag. You might want to look at your fluid too as I have heard LS7 are very picky abou tit and dump a ton of heat. If it is dark, try the draining it and refiling it untill it is clean, or even a DOT 4 (like motoul 600, that I use, no issues).
If your clutch is ok (I realy hope it is, and at worst the fluid) you may need more RPMs to carry though the launch on these. I started on mine @ 15 PSI hot and the same launch as 275 40 17 ET ST Drs, and had nothing but bog. Went down to 10 or 11 PSI hot (depends more on track prep IMO) and a harder release (not a dump but fast) and way more RPM to cary it through the hit and not bog. My car like 5500 to 6300, and goes 1.50 to 1.59 @ 6k. Hope this helps man and good luck!
