Default MTI R1 cam 114 lsa

Anyone else running this cam?Had MTI install this cam along with ls6 intake,MTI's polished TB 75mm,smooth bellows, underdrive pulley. Also the vig 3200 convertor. The car a''2000 Pontiac TA'' also has a full perf. 3'' exh. with headers. The car dynoed @360hp/349 torque @wheels sort of dissapointed with the numbers, but wondering what other people with this cam are running at the track.

Default Track Times today 10/27/06

Just got back from Houston Raceway Park. The car ran a 12.36@109.37 with a 1.8 60ft.So the R1 cam is pretty good. Had a little wheel hop and running at 3640 racing weight with driver.Alot of room for improvement!Running on Nitto's right now at 22psi.Have some light weight skinnies on order and will try a light weight battery up front next time out.I'll post my times next run also,I ran three times tonight 12.36,12.43 and 12.43.

Update Track time with MTI R1 cam
12/22/06 Houston Raceway Park
New best so far,the car ran a 12.08 @ 111.36 with a 1.67 60ft.Track was loose tonight,had 2 other runs spinning to a 12.95 with a 2.21 60ft. and a 12.86 with a 1.93 60ft.Very happy with the 12.08 run.Have to wait until next year to run,tonight was last night for the year at HRP.

Nice times bro. I bought this cam a couple years ago but never installed it...I will be installing it with my new setup in the next few weeks.

my buddy has that same cam, made 405/395 at the tires with hooker headers and 3" duals with LS6 manifold untuned and HOT from driving to the shop to dyno.

I used to run Nitto's a few years ago and I got my best times with air pressure in the 12 to 14 range with a long burn out. Sixty foot times generally in the 1.63 to 1.65 range. Nice times with the cam.

thats one thing i don't like about the cam, it seems like it doesn't bring any power in down low, but really starts to pull hard up top.
