Default Modified Dzus Fastners

HEres what i did with 2 of my dzus fastners to go on the front of my hood:









i did this so i could have the dzus fastner look on the front and still be able to lock the front of the hood

thanks, it took me about 10min to do each one...not hard to do at all, the lock kit is around 27$ through jegs, i found one at my local pepboys for 24$ so i decided to try it

Show us some pics of the final prodeuct once they are mounted to the hood on the car.

what about when the car catches on fire and it takes longer to get the hood off

heres another pic, its the backing plate going on the underside of the hood, im going to put 2 small screws through the holes in the dzus bracket, through the hood, then into the backing plate to keep the lock from pulling through the hood

You race with those 2 unlocked, but sufficiently cover the perimeter of the hood with other dzus fasteners to keep it down when racing. You lock them when you're away from the car.

(I bought regular hood locks for my pin-on hood, but haven't installed them/it yet)
