Default Replacement Light Weight Spindles

Who make replacement light weight spindles?
The stock cast iron ones look like they weigh a ton.

Strange engineering has created some nice components for your car.

I see you have our Bogarts...give me a call or e-mail so you can be certain you're setup correctly.

The Strange GT front struts use the factory spindles. I do not know of an aftermarket spindle specific to the f-body. I believe the only way to eliminate the spindles is to go to a drag strut such as the Strange Ultra or Lamb Strut.

No, Strange doesn't supply a new spindle. You have to modify the stock factory spindle (Cut caliper bolt holes off and grind down so they clear new caliper)

AJE offers a spindle for these car and so does Santhuff. Both require custom upper and lower control arms.

FYI, I was told by someone at AJE that you can NOT use strange drag brakes with their spindles. This was for my 3rd gen, I don't know if the same applies for 4th gens.

Hey Slickvert, here are some pics of my set-up, I got all of this through AJE, I was/am very happy with the quality and performance this front end gave me. I dropped nearly 300LB's with just this front, skinnies, an EWP and removal of power steering.

Lower A-arm

K-member

Spindle assembly outside of car

Upper mount

All together!

Hope this helps man, good luck with your build

only problem with that setup is that it's not legal for alot fo classes.. but I do agree for a drag only car it is probably the best way to go. Sounds like just swapping to that front end with a manual steeering rack is a 275 lb weight saving.. awesome! I ever get really hardcore with my car, I'd put that on if whatever class I'm runnign allows it, sounds like that alone would get me down to where I want to be weight wise, with the bumper supports and all still in the car

Thanks for the info, your set-up looks awesome.
That has to be the lightest weight option.

Im pretty sure you cant do anything lighter in the front, this is why I went this route.
The quality is top notch and I am very happy with it. You wouldnt be disapointed with it!!
