We've had good results with the Mcleod twin disc. I do usually have it rebuilt every year, but I never expected slipping the clutch at 5k+rpm would lead to long life.

Alls I asked was which clutch will hold...I know a car will 60ft better (normally) with an auto..That doesn't mean if I'm going be running this car the 6 speed needs to come out. This is my dads "STREET" car...
BTW: the rear seal on the car was leaking so I'm thinking thats whythe cluch wasn't holding..I'm going to buy some disk and I'll decide if this exedy is really as big of a peice that I think it is..

Tilton Carbon/carbon.... some people here think you cant drag race them but Tiltions application guide has them listed as drag race/street clutch Their going to set you back 4500 bucks but speed costs money...If you really want to go fast you need to either get an auto or get a real manual tranmission

wow i will need the same thing soon with my 402+300 shot its only gonna get the 300 once in a while at the track but 150 on the street will come more often. im thinkin more like 800 at the wheels.

For a clutch to last only one year is just wrong. I really wish we could get someone to find a way to get one to last at least two years. I really think it will take a cable setup to get one to last more than a year for drag racing applications.

spec 3+ is holding good on my car at just over 500 on the spray but it shifts like ***. Trans was built by futral at the same time as 3+ went in and I have to force it into every gear swap where as I use to flick my wrist and hit the gears.
I am thinking of an auto when this clutch wheres out.

I think the material of the disk is the key. Something that is sintered iron, or a carbon metallic type puck style. But agreed as stated earlier with that much power multi disks($$$) or an auto will probably be the only solution.
