vacuum reservoir for my brakes?

Default vacuum reservoir for my brakes?

After the 408 went in the the BIG cam, i dont have enough vacuum to operate the brakes with the Auto transmission. I was just wondering if anyone else uses a vacuum reservoir to fix this problem?

You could use one of those vacuum resevoirs, I never used one on an LS1 car but have used them on a few others with large solid rollers. In the long run switching to manual brakes would probably be the best option though, that way you take off weight and extra parts instead of adding

Yup, im pickin up what your puttin down, but im in a unique position right now. im stuck on an island where the only track we had was closed down perminently last year, and im stuck here for 3 more years, so all i can do with my racce car is cruise it every now and again. Ill get the manual brakes later.

One of those reseviors will help then and will be the easiest thing to do, has to be a pretty big cam since my old 414 with a 268/276 @ .050 on a 108 LSA still worked the power brakes just fine

It isnt that large, 25x/26x @.50 on a 112 LSA.. but.. it still doesnt have the vacuum i need to operate the brakes at idle speed...

Booster may be going bad, who knows. The resevoir is pretty cheap, may as well try it.

my 253 257 114lsa works fine driving around but is hard to stall up at the line

Most diesel cars use a mechanical vacuum pump for their booster.

Some are fitted to the alternator, some simply belt driven external items.

I am worried about this as well as I just ordered a 259/267 @50 on a 114.
