Only if its in the driver's compartment. A rear "firewall" would make this legal for NHRA use.

true, i believe wolfe has one. that would kind of kill the sleeper effect of it though. maybee if you carpeted it to match your interior it would come out nice.

It's nice. If you made a removable sheetmetal top for that area it would be legal.

Great idea! I will check it out, most of our brackets have been sold for chassis cars that have a fire wall or sealed off area, but on the street no box is needed.

Exclamation Fyi:

The "J" bolts are not legal, unless they are:
A. Welded closed.
B. 3/8" dia, and bolted to the frame. The "box" may not be used as the fastener point[s] for the hold down bolts.

bolts can be welded if you want
when the battery bracket is welded in place it becomes part of the chassis structure and the bolts are allowed to attach to it
but not all cars race at the track and this in not needed
