Default Comp. Engineering drag shocks

I know a lot of people use eaither stock or QA1's. I know the 98+ have better rear shocks compared to my '94. How do Comp. Engineering shocks compare to my stock ones. I dont wanna dump $300 on QA1's for the rear but $80 for Comp. Eng. are do-able. Worth the money or not much better then stockers. I already got everything else (ta, panhard bar, sway bar, lca's springs) so a set of shocks will finish it all off. What u guys think.

Must be because mine have worked great. No 1.2s or 1.3s, but plenty of low 1.5s on drag radials and absolutely no other suspension mods. I'd say they're worth $80.

Jerry,

You knew my black car's setup. I cut 1.46 60fts on drag radials, Cam only, 3300 raceweight. I will be putting them in this car as well. Make sure you throw an airbag in the rear passenger spring as well.

1.2's all day long with the comp engineering shocks on drag radials! They probably have about 10,000 street miles on them now and still work great.

Yes sir... Jonathan's car hooks a drag radial HARD on these cheapo shocks.

His are set to 50/50 just like mine are.

As I search for more in depth ways to whittle my 60' down, I'll likely replace my CE Drag Shocks with a set of QA1s to match the front.

...but for now, I'll settle with my consistent 1.4x 60's with them and the 6spd.

What options are there for the front suspension? I spent all of my money and didn't do the research on the suspension. I bought a set of SLP Bilsteen's with springs and everything all the way around before I knew any better. I went out to the track for the first time last Wednesday and it was ugly. The best I could muster was a 12.35 @ 122 MPH w/ a 2.04 60'. LOL. Pretty sad. I am 325/15/50 Nitto DR's and I had to let out in every gear as I had absolutely no traction anywhere. When I hit 3rd (M6) the car went sideways (pretty scary as it was my first time getting sideways in 3rd) on the first pass. My second pass was even worse. I went 12.85 @ 116 MPH. I actually spun so bad when I hit 3rd that I never got traction at banged the rev limiter. Shifted into 4th and bogged thru the traps. After that I decided that I didn't need to run anymore until I fix the suspension. My raceweight is 3450+330lbs (worth of me). I have no wheel hop at all. I have an adj panhard, non-adj torque arm (it was free) and tubular LCA's right now. I would love for some of you "dead hookers" to give me some pointers. I really need to do something on the cheap for now as I am kind of broke at the moment.

Here's my question, can I salvage any part of my current Bilsteen setup? Is there a soft front shock/strut that I can get cheap to help transfer weight? My GTO (dialy driver) squats when I hit the gas, the Z doesn't move any weight at all to the rear.

Thanks in advance.
