Default some pics of my 6speed street car build/rebuild

here it is folks. i noticed everyone else posting pics of their projects so i though i would share mine. sorry about the quality of the pics. i just took them and its DARK outside. i don't have a shop, just a small 8x10 shed

the motor is a 370 iron block with Patriot stg. 3 heads & a custom 248/254 110lsa cam. it has ran before just getting freshened up, it should be ready next week.

trans is a fresh t56 rebuilds package 4a. i'm waiting on a McLeod bellhousing. the 9" has 3.89 gears, lightened spool 35splines, i pulled it apart to change the fluid and put a drain plug in it

my goal this year is to run a 10.999 N/A and a 9.999 on the juice. the only track time i've had with the 6speed in it was the friday before thanksgiving. i ran a 11.51 @ 121 spinning through a 1.74 60' since it has picked up about 70/50 RWHP & TQ.

i did get the rear put back together today & the t/a back on before it started raining

6 speed cars are the best. I ran almost identical ET and 60 as you but i trapped 129. Lost the clutch that night... Now i picked up about 50/50whp on motor, dropped 200 more lbs, and put a new clutch in. I'm running a posi 12 bolt.. which is one of the weak links in my setup. Do you still street yours a lot? I'm too scared/poor to run a spool on the street. My 325' s would be history. I'm hoping to bust 140's on spray, but with a DR

yea man i still drive it on the street when i can/want to. the spool isn't a big deal at all. it makes a little noise when turning but nothing horrible. i still have p/s too. when i got the rearend i had a th400 so it was more of a racerish car..... yea thats a word!

Looking good. Looks like that 10X13 shed is plenty of room. My 20x30 garage is filled up halfway with junk. My mower, pressure washer and all my parts. I'm trying to get my 3000 plus sg ft barn built at the same time I building my car.

i know what you mean. i do all of my own work (except rebuild the trans & motor, don't have a shop) in my driveway. its taken almost 3 years to get it where its at now. when i started modding it i was the first person around my area to get serious with it & didn't know about all the message boards. so i did a LOT of trial & error on my own. good luck with your car project
