Default good start for rear QA1's??

I've searched thru the threads and it seems like there are different answers in each one... so i'll ask again...

what's a good starting point for single adj QA1's out back???? I've heard five most often.... and let me please understand something. the directions say that setting "1" (all the way counter clockwise till it stops) is the "softest" setting. but in one thread a guy said his car was bouncing at the higher settings like higher than 6.... wouldn't the LOWER #'s cause the car to bounce as they are the softer settings????

And once i get it to the track and say I have a setting of 5 and the car won't hook should I start going DOWN in #'s to the softer settings???? or firm it up by going higher???

3 fronts, 6 backs. I'll adjust rears to 7-9 if the track isn't hooking.

5-6 is a good starting point on the rear and its probably where they will stay..
