Default Skinnie tires, what are the lightest steet tires for skinnies

I know this should probably be in the wheels and tires section but i figured i would get a better response here. Like the title says what are the lightest skinnies tires that you can drive on the street and are NOT track only...include everything that you can thanks

I run the Mickey Thompson Sportsman 8 plys in a 26X7.50X15, mounted on 15 X 4 Bogart Welded RT's. I believe the 8 plys are safer on the street and track as my car sees double duty. I could give a damn about weight when I'm trapping at 120mph and dodging potholes.

what do they weigh the rims i got now are the convos with some 185/65/15 and they weigh in at a huge 29lb...i know the convos themselves weight about 9 lbs, so i am looking for a streetable tire what weighs less...my dad has some generic 165/65/15 but i heard that these are going to be hard to find...correct me if i am wrong...and he believes his weighed around ~24-25

I was going to make a separate thread (and still might) but try this on for size:

My 15x3.5" Bogart bolted D10s with 25" moroso DS2s: 22.6 lbs mounted

My friends 15x3.5" Bogart welded RTs with the cheapy 165/15 bug tires: 26.5 lbs

I have Moroso DS/2's on Alumastars...they are great tires. Lightest good tires I have seen, much lighter than radial tires.

the VW radials are the lightest for the radials but are not light. IMO you run a street tire or a light race tire. nothing in bw

No ****? I planned on mine seeing street duty here and there.

I just figured it was the lack of tread that made them unsafe.

Can I turtle out to the local track on them?

I prefer MT sportsman fronts with have two different ply options depending on weight for any street use.
