the air bag wires go throug the column and ther in there pretty good sometimes tie wraps are involved especialy down by the ignition clyinder area so you mite have to take the coumn apart to get it to come all the way out

[QUOTE=01RedZ28]That's the thing i'm having trouble with how do you get the column apart. I can't seem to figure that part out. basicly it easier if you pull the cloumn out of the can and do it on a bench. but once you take the wheel off your looking at the clock spring assembly for the air bag pull that off and keep going deeper and try not to turn the clock spring assembly ithe the big black plastic thing with the air bag warning on it. your goiing to need snapring pliers and torxs bits its a little tricky just take you time and rember what your doing if you have to take pics at each step. man i miss being a gm tech now im working on bmw's all day. if you need advice just ask

are you completely removing the airbag wires?
I kept mine and have 2 buttons on the wheel and use those wires.

Thanks for the help finally finished it up. It's a little off center but i'm not complaining. For the wires i removed both of them.
