MS3, PT4000 and the car won't 60 ft, WTF?
Car has full bolt on's, minus t/b, 3.42, built trans with pt4000 and an ms3. The car will not go better than a 1.63 and that's rare! Everyone i'm seeing around with similar mods is at least mid/high 1.5's. Is there anyway to see if the converter is bad? Any idea what yank charges to inspect and fix a problem?
Thanks
Thanks

The car is almost full weight, few things taken off. It has hal's all the way around and i'm using a 26x10 et drag w/ skinnies up front. The tires are not spinning at all i'm sure of that. Rear is 3 series carrier with 3.42's. It ran a 7.38 friday night on a 1.63 and then the 60ft yesterday was all over the place.

What's the STR on that converter? I bet your gear/converter combo is killing you. I think you need to start hitting the tires harder, whether you make a gear change or suspension change. What are you running the Hals at?

I think that the full weight with the 3.42s is the problem Not the converter.
I'm running a PT4000 with 4.10s and 27 inch QTPs pulling low 1.5s in the heat and high 1.4s in the cold air. Raceweight 3440 lbs. h/c stock bottom.

I do believe it's a 2.2 str. Everyone tells me that the converter sounds extremly loose compared to other pt4000's. For example there's a car here that has almost the same cam, same stall, 3.23's, full weight(no weight reduction at all), all stock suspension and cuts 1.57-1.58! Can yank change the str? Or would an SS4000 suit me better as i'm about the bottle on the car?
