Default MT sportman front runners?

Anybody running Sportman front runners on the street? How many miles are you getting out of them?

Currently I'm running the 165/15 radials and I think they are around 25-25.5" in dia. and the Sportmans are 26" dia. and I could use the extra .5-1" clearance I was just wanting to know if they would be as good/reliable on the street as the 165 radials since the car is still a DD. Also since it weighs around 3250 with me in it would the 4 ply or 8 ply be better?

Anyone make a 26-27" radial for a 15" rim?

I use the 8 ply's. Radials are ok but in case you didn't know, you can fill these MT Sportman front runners to 60 psi!!!!!! At the track that comes in handy.

44 is for the radials. Says it right on the tire-max 60 psi cold.

So by balloonish, you mean like it feels like it wanders or something? Please explain, cause I am purchasing some soon, and plan to do a small amount of DD on them.

I have the Sportsman 8-ply up front and they are not bad at all. In fact, I have driven to and from the track on several occasions (500 miles round trip) on front skinnies and drag radials out back.
