Okay, I have read back through the thread. So, I need heavier gauge wire and run the positive post and the alternator wire to one side of the switch and then another wire from the fuse block to the other side of the switch fuse block? So when the switch is off it kills the power to the fuse block??

I have it installed but I just threw it in there and have not wired it correctly yet. Basically the car will still run even when you push the switch off.

Draging it back from the dead...

So as for the alternator, I would have to run a wire from the back of the alternator to the switch as well?

Yes, or the alternator will run the car without a battery. But make sure you put it on the correct side.

it wont work taking away the ground because the alternator grounds to the engine so the car will keep running

Here are pics of mine.

exactly. alternator produces potential, therefore it creates a high and a low side in addition to the battery.

make sure and pull it out before you hop in... its a good habit any ways at the race track.. nothing like getting buckled in and then realizing its off....

Or it could be some random kids walking behind your car at the light or something.

How about dropping the link bar when driving and re-connecting at the track.

James
