Default Speed Inc. lightweight carpet owners....

what's the bottom side of the carpet look like? I didn't really know what to expect. there is some padding on the underside of the carpet that is yellow if i remember right(i'm at work). anyways, just want to make sure that's normal. i was kind of expecting just the carpet with nothing else. thanks for the help

What is the weight of this carpet? What is the weight of the stock carpet with/without the sound deadening?

My stock carpet weighed 32 pounds before I removed the sound deadening. It now weighs 24 pounds.

i ordered mine cut. cause i'm putting my seats back in the car. i thought someone weighed the speed inc. carpet and it was like 19lbs? I lifted my stock carpet and the speed inc. stuff and the speed inc. was definitely lighter.

The cut means, all provisions for seats, including back seat and center console.

The uncut is total opposite

Is that correct??

I got the uncut carpet and the only part cut is the center console. Shipping weight is 19lbs and you will lose about 5 lbs by taking the sound deadner off. It fits and looks good.

You just got my interest too. Let's try and lay this out and sum it up (based on the whole string):

Stock carpet: 32 pounds
stock with sound deadening removed: 24 pounds
Those figures are from Larry.

Speed Inc. carpet: 19 pounds
Speed inc. w/o sound deadening: 14? pounds
? = that is inferred from 99 1LE SS.

Looks like the prices are $200/$270. Decent mod then if you go full bore for the 18 pound loss (full stock to Speed Inc w/o deadening)
Let me know if I have summed this up correctly.

BIGBOS, if you are into weight reduction, try racing seats. 15-22 pound loss for each versus stock, depending on brand and which brackets you install. I have stood on the scale holding stock and racing seats. I don't like doing mods without knowing the bottom line on what I should expect.
