Jamie,

which springs did you put in with the cam? What else did you do during the install? Who did your computer tuning?

I am trying (in vain) to resist modding my '99 stocker, but looking at your numbers makes it very tempting to throw a cam in, esp. since you are doing so well with untouched heads.

I bought the car to drive back and forth to work while I continue the projects on my '94. But DAMN, those LS1 engines...

Todd,

I am using the REV dual springs that LG recommends, the only other thing i did during the install was get 98 valve seals so that the spring would seat. Godspeed was my tuner, he works at LG.

I pull 98(97.99) in the 1/8.All shifting is
done before the 1/8.Why can't I hit 126?
What's up with that?

...oh yeah,I don't make 425@the wheels.

You're comin' for me?I'll be waiting.

Cause he ran 126 at a downhill track. His 121 mph in the 1/4 were also at 97 mph in the 1/8th, but at a non-downhill track......

There is no way that his cam only car picked up 29 mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 that would take well over 500 rwhp......

I am not hating on you Jamie, it is still very impressive, but you and I both know that you could not run 126 at Ennis.....

I race at that down hill track also and my mph is the same at Houston Race park and Red River ,and when I run at Ennis my mph is 2mph lower in simular weather. Ennis is 200ft above sea level higher than that down hill track that goes up hill through the traps.

Thanks for clearing that up. Alot of the people that talk about Hallsville being down hill have never raced there. They dont know what their missing 60ft wise.

Jamie, I just realized when I calculated the DA I done it for 8am instead of 8pm. The DA @ 8pm was +2093.

I have run my car at HRP, Ennis, and at Hallsville. My MPH has always been about 2 mph high when I ran at Hallsville and only in the 1/4 MPH not the 1/8th.

All I want someone to explain to me if they feel that this MPH is legit is how in the hell Jamie's 425 rwhp car (on a good day) picked up 29 mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4???????? I am sorry to say guys but it is not possible for a 3400 lbs car that makes 425 rwhp to pick up that much MPH. He would need around 550 rwhp to do so........

For an example my car weighs 3400 lbs.......it makes 450-460 rwhp........my car went 99.1 mph in the 1/8th and went 126.04 in the 1/4 mile..... that is a gain of ~26.9 from the 1/8th to the 1/4. Now unless Jamies' car makes about 75 more rwhp than my car I don't see how this is even close to possible.

Lou,

How about you have Jamie or Rageman, come out to Ennis, RCR, or HRP and duplicate their times......

Let me shed some light no this more MPH deal at hallsville. First off you need to go by DA to compare tracks before you say it is ONE track. Another thing about hallsville is that their timing lights act strange sometimes and it always is the MPH not the ET. Something about hallsville that gives good ET is that the track flat out hooks 90% of the times. I run at RRR in shreveport LA and Hallsville and there is hardly any difference in ET if both track hook and i have went on back to back days in almost identical weather and was .02/.05mph slower at RRR over hallsville.

I have a buddy that got some fluke MPH reading from his A4 last year so it's no big deal as long as the ET is there that is the bottom line not MPH. And where else can you go and break a 10 bolt and a tranny on the launch at the same time in a A4

JS12,keep chopping at that ET and try to get a day when a big bracket event or BACKHALF cars run and you will get some new best 60fts. following those guys

i dont know Matt but i lost a lot of weight running at Hville than HRP. i had a lot better 60fts at HRP and stayed in the gas the whole time. at Hville the other night i had to let out to hook when i was passing the tree. at Hville this weekend i think i weighed somewhere around 3350ish. i weighed 3480 at HRP and i pulled all the carpet, half the dash, console, rear bumper support and anything else we could pull out. i know what your saying though Hville does seem fast but so did HRP. i might be back out this weekend, maybe denton so i can see how i hook now.

Beenfetched was only running 120mph out there.
