For those of you that drive to the track on ET Drags, I want to see how far you actually drive to the track on your ET Drags, and how the wear and driving characteristics are.

you shouldn't drive to the track on your dags due to the fact that if you get stoped your looking at a heafty fine due to then not being dot approved.

I've driven from Va Beach to MIR on ET Streets (3 hrs each way).

I don't drive anywhere on the slicks... except around the pit area & staging lanes

I've driven about 50 miles each way on my Hoosier Drags, it definately wears them down in a hurry and hardens them too.

I would assume my ET streets get a bit harder from driving them on street as well?? I wonder how much more Drags wear than the ET Streets.

Luckily most of my 50 miles are highway, by the time I get off the highway the tires are really hot and soft, so this is when they really start to wear down, but I only have about 4 turns to get to the track from the highway. I definately wouldn't make a habit of it but if it's a must I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you check the weather forecast, I've been caught in the rain before, SUCK!!!

I would NOT drive them on public roads at all.

Just bring your rims/slicks with you in the car
