Default Opinions on effects of DA?

What actual effect does track air have on ET and MPH that is quantifiable. For example, if you race with a DA of 0 and then +2000, what is the actual affect in MPH? Same track.

mike how is the air at say cecil or maple at night this time of the year
we went 9.14 at 149.9 at cecil last month at night with great track prep
and went 9.14 at 149.0 at bowling green with same motor tune but other mods which should have picked up .05

I would think a nitrous car would be affected a bit less by DA changes but still affected nonetheless...track prep of course is ALWAYS a factor.
That being said it's safe to say that a 9.14 at BG would be a bit quicker back at Cecil.

Pretty good example:

Cecil: +435 DA: 12.3 @ 113 on street tires.

Thunder Valley in Ok.: +4336 DA: 12.9 @ 108.

6 tenths and 5 MPH.

Ken, This time of year the air is average. Last time at Maple, the air DA was +1700 (they have a display in the staging lanes). Cecil is a bit less but with the heat and humidity, they would be +700 or so.

Best air at Cecil is in the Fall. I ran a string of high 9.7's last year there in -1200 or so. You will have easy 8 second passes there at that time.

What would a 12.48@108.1mph at 2341 DA be at 0 DA? Where can you get a calculation for this?
Thanks,
Richard

Mikey, your starting to sound like a bracket racer! Every car is different which is why racers keep logs. Ballpark for gas is 200'= .01ET , alcohol is 300'=.01ET. This is a starting point and cars will differ.

OSR 1 : Rumors are that Cecil is a 2% down grade. There are 5 tracks in the 200 mile area and almost everyone hits Cecil for their best runs.

Cecil is on a downgrade, plus u are almost always going with going with the wind.

Atco on the otherhand is almost always going into a headwind but does slope some too.
