Default Interesting car weight..

I was comparing my car to a stock SS on our scales the other day, thought it was interesting..

My car 2000SS M6, cloth interior, t-tops, TCS etc, weight reduction = ww bottle, cruise module/brackets, front sway bar, SVR battery (11.4lbs with mount), convo pros w/165r15s front, et streets/firebird twisties rear, jack/spare, trunk divider thing/floor mats, Magnaflow exh is 9lbs less then the original dual/dual, whole AIR system is off the car as well as the EGR.

Weight added, moser 12 bolt with 33spline axels/posi (36lbs heavier, yea right ), lakewood driveshaft loop, SLP bolt on SFCs, BMR moly LCAs and PHB (they weigh about the same as stock), 1/2 a tank of gas.

3595lbs w/me in it - I weighed 220 on the scale.

Other car, 2002 SS M6 hard top, leather int, chrome ZR1 17" wheels/F1s, SLP dual/dual, jack and spare out, hooker LTs with ORY, AIR removed, 1/2 a tank of gas.

3580lbs with driver - he weighed 216 on the same scale.

Thought it was kinda funny that my car weighs the same as an almost stock SS with chrome wheels (heavy). I would sure like to get 100lbs out of this thing without doing theft recovery mods - dont think its going to happen

15" rear convo pros with e.t. streets probably take away a total of 15-20lbs, tubular k-member/a-arms would be about 35-40lb removed i think, and then the speed inc lightweight carpet would save another 10-15lbs. so that's around 60-70lbs removed and no one could tell.

I drove a car with a lightweight k-member/a-arms and hals and I'll pass, too many mountain roads around here I just decided to put some heads on it, an extra 30rwhp will make the car feel a little lighter
