Whos running tubes in their 28" ET Drags?
Mounted my Drags today to my new Bogarts using the tubes that were suggested. My buddy mounted his 28 Drags without tubes and his tires are an honest inch shorter than mine once mounted. This is gonna make clearance a bitch in the rear of the car. Whats the verdict on tubes for Drags? I do have an M6 and Ill be leaving around 6k with 4:56s in the 12bolt

Ron, I am not running tubes in my 28" Drags. I did run them in my 28" Hoosiers, but ditched them and the tires after 20-30 passes.

Re: Whos running tubes in their 28
you cant take your tubes back out, the wheels will have a 5/8" hole in them now for the tube valvestem, unless your tubes differ from the Mickey Thompson and Hoosier tubes. with the car sitting on the ground and both sets of tires at equal pressure(assuming they are the same model and size of tires), the ones with tubes shouldnt be any taller, unless you are talking about maybe just in the middle of the tread. that area will expand outwards at speed on the non-tubed tires and require the same amount of clearance anyways
