Default converter slip?

what is the accepatable limit of converter slip on the far end with nitrous?

fuddle 3800 nitrous converter, th400, 3.73 and 28'' tire

I was trapping 129 and my shift light is set for 6100.

with the nitrous my light comes on around the 1000 foot mark, maybe a little after

now mathmaticaly i should only turn 5800, but i know it will be higher because of the converter.

but how would I know if its slipping too much?

At 6100 you should be running 136 with no slip, having the shift light come on at 1000 ft mark or a little after doesn't say much.

Run the car and see what rpm you get up to when you cross the lights. Then you can see how far off it is, my converter was off 200 rpm at the lights for what I ran, don't know much about fuddle converters, I ran a 9" lockup art carr.

Don't know what to tell you, just keep working at it, but if you're running 129 mph, your setup needs some work, you should be running low 10.30's, hopefully the converter isn't too bad.

I think folks try to keep the slippage at or below 10%, but if the car is also working on the first half of the track some folks might not care that much if it's going a bit over that.
